What is the difference between lead generation and appointment setting?

Lead generation covers a range of outcomes, from early interest to sales-ready opportunities. Appointment setting is a specific form of lead generation focused on arranging a confirmed meeting with a qualified decision maker.

Lead generation is a broader term where there are a range of potential outcomes with varying levels of intent such as a marketing-qualified lead, a sales-qualified lead, a future opportunity or a prospect ready for further nurturing.

Appointment setting is a specific type of lead generation where the objective is to secure a confirmed meeting (either online or in person) with a qualified decision-maker at a specific point in time.

Not every qualified lead is ready for an appointment. Our role is to identify where each prospect sits in the buying journey, understand if they are the right fit for the product or service on offer and help move them towards the next appropriate step.
