As a Living Wage employer we will be introducing the new 2022 Living Wage rate of £9.90 per hour from April 1st.
We are proud to be one of 793 employers who support the Brighton & Hove Living Wage Campaign and 9000 employers nationwide. The real Living Wage is the only voluntary employer scheme that ensures a wage rate that is calculated based on what people actually need to live, rather than the government minimum. Whilst the Living Wage doesn’t apply for the majority of our staff it provides an entry-level baseline for new recruits. Employees joining the business can then develop their skills and experience with access to ongoing coaching and Institute of Sales Management approved training and regular performance reviews.
We joined the campaign as part of our longstanding commitment to treating staff fairly and maintaining ethical standards in an industry that has historically fallen short. The events of the past few years have made it even more important for employers to support their staff and provide fair pay and conditions. With the rising cost of living affecting all workers and families, we would actively encourage all employers to sign up.
